~ Martta Wendelin~ Finnish~ Children's Book Illustrator, Commercial Artist..studied at the 'University of Helsinki'...also received private lessons and studies Art in Italy and Sweden. She was well known for her prolific output of greeting and postcards, also Magazine illustrations and Fairy Tale books. She worked from her house and studio in Tuusula from 1946, onward, in 1977 she received a 'Life Time Achievement Award' from the Finnish Government..there is a Museum in Tuusula, that exhibits over 2,000 pieces of her works of Art~
