Spring has come,
While the distant mountains
Maintain their own snowy weather.
Along the top of the ranges
Are billowing clouds in one
Long horizontal line.
While here in the foothills
The red clover is carpeting the lawn
With a mass of pink while weeds poke
Through with their yellow daisy heads.
With a mass of pink while weeds poke
Through with their yellow daisy heads.
The bulbs have already spent their blooms.
The farm animals express fertility rituals
And the fully distended pigs finally gave birth
To their darling baby piglets.
And the fully distended pigs finally gave birth
To their darling baby piglets.
I am planting my garden in large pots
(To outwit the gophers)
And am searching for the sunniest spots
To place them.
To place them.
Overnight the trees, so recently bare,
Seemed to pop with full-sized leaves.
The squirrels and birds are quarreling again.
The cats are at their observation posts.
All is well.
